Helping ex-EB's in urgent need or those who need help to leave the EB/PBCC

Southland

Helping ex-EB's is a place where those who know what it is like to either be ripped from their own home and family or have their own family and home ripped from them, can help support others and share what they have with those who are currently going through it.

If you manage to escape this controlling group, you will usually find your family are unable to provide you support, you are most likely forced to leave behind your whole life to have to start a new one - without any assistance. Often people lose spouses, children, jobs, houses and more - and they sometimes can't cope. The EB/PBCC keeps its members mainly by instilling fear of leaving into them. This is where we come in as a group, providing support, care and advice where we can. When, (or if) the EB/PBCC will no longer help someone, we will. We are here for the escapees, no matter what their circumstances are. We do not judge.

For myself, I have been helping people leave this cult for years (as I was also helped to leave). Along with others who have left - and made a good life for themselves, we want to be able to help provide assistance to those who need a way out or to help find their feet. When your own family are no longer there for you, you can count on us to be your family.

Those of us who have been there, know the sheer terror and emptiness of suddenly being left without a friend in the world, no job, no home, no family and no support. Lets help those who want to escape be able to do it with support from people who understand.

To qualify for help and to prevent misuse of the funds, an ex-EB must meet the following criteria:

- unable to function from lack of food

- in an unsafe situation from lack of lodgings

- in imminent danger from lack of medical care

- have no-one else able to help

- or if there are others available to help, there must be a clear need for extra funds for them to get the level of care required

- someone on the ground in the area must verify that the needs of this person are urgent (another ex-EB, an social agency, hospital etc.)

- someone other than the person who needs the funds, has to be available to administer the funds

In the event of funds being needed to help leave the EB, a leaver must also meet the above criteria as much as possible. Also:

- funds will only be paid direct to the required expense provider (ie: a bus ticket to safety)

If you would like to donate to help ex-EB's in urgent need, or someone wanting to leave the EB/PBCC, please contribute to this fund now. Thank you.

This fund will be specifically used for situations where urgent help and intervention is needed that cannot be provided for any other way. Thank you.

I am involved in this, as I am myself an escapee from the extremist religious cult Exclusive Brethren which has recently changed its name to PBCC.

Thank you for your donations, help is now progressing.  19 May 2015

Some of you knew about a very urgent need to help someone in trouble, but some of you have given just out of the goodness of your heart, to help those who are unable to help themselves. Due to your kindness, we are now able to start getting the person who most needs these funds right now, the help they need. Your generous giving is greatly appreciated. Thank you. :)
