My mum, Tanya was recently diagnosed with small cell lung cancer, Please help support her healing process.
Wellington
5 months ago my mum was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer after finding a small lump (by chance) on her chest.
In June she noticed a lump on her chest , went to the doctor to find out what it may be, it grew in size substantially over a period of a few weeks.
This lead to scans, tests and biopsys and in May was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer, as a mass was apparent in her left lung as well.
Just a short note about SCLC:
"This aggressive form of lung cancer most commonly occurs in smokers. It usually starts in the breathing tubes (bronchi) and grows very quickly, creating large tumors and spreading (metastasizing) throughout the body.
Symptoms include bloody phlegm, cough, chest pain and shortness of breath."
The doctors have advised her she has probably months, not years to live, they have also ruled out chemotherapy treatment at this stage.
As far as I am aware, it's because of her current physical state and suppressed immune system.
So, with this information, we have very few mainstream options to help her on a healing path.
Mum is booked in to receive radiation on both the tumor and lung mass, However, I am reaching out for your support.
My mother is on the sickness assistance, has no medical insurance and lives off of minimal funds each week.
I am trying to assist where I can with meals, and doctors visit and transport, however I lack the funds to be able to support her more effectively.
I am (stepping well outside the comfort zone) and reaching out for assistance to help cover the costs of keeping mum well and getting her on the path to recovery.
Research shows, our body CAN heal. If only we worked at building up a well functioning immune system. Which is what I intend to help mum with.
As of Sept the 6th mum was admitted to hospital for brain scans after a few weeks of dizziness, nausea and the inability to walk straight.
Unfortunately the results were not positive and two more tumors are present in her brain.
I have tried my best to pursue high dose vitamin C treatments via infusions as well as her current treatment options, but to no avail the docs, are not supportive and it's been a real stand still with anyone getting on board to encourage this approach as well, It's a real let down to those most in need.
Now I feel at a point where asking for alternate treatment assistance through our medical system is like hitting a head against a brick wall,...
So I am asking for help.
This campaign will enable me to help my mum on her healing journey by providing her with the additional supplements, High density nutrient rich foods, Hyperbaric/oxygen therapy, trips to natural/alternative health practitioners But most importantly allowing her to live out the next few months in some comfort.
My mum has had a topsy turvy life and I would love to help her make the most of her few months, by helping her live a quality of life and grant her a few of her wishes in the process. (she would like to return home to her birth place up north, for a visit and has a couple of other things on her 'bucket list' to aspired towards too)
With gratitude we would appreciate your support during this time, every little bit counts, Know that your love energy and generosity will be pay forward.
AGAIN thank you for your support, we appreciate the love and kindness.
