The school council at Westmount Taranaki Campus is fundraising for equipment to replace that which was lost in Tavua from Cyclone Winston.
Taranaki
The routine of school is a founding support of a child’s security. With Fijian schools and homes destroyed, children from the age of five to eighteen have had their lives tipped upside down. Such loss, homelessness and the complete lack of routine and normalcy must be stressful at the least. Without outside help, these schools could take who knows how long to get up and running again. Meanwhile, the education of these children, the future of Fiji, is greatly hindered. At the Taranaki Campus, our accounting teacher, Mr Lal, and our Maths teacher, Mr Kumar, are both Fijians by birth. Both had their villages destroyed in cyclone Winston, with both the Primary and Secondary schools in the Tavua area destroyed. We want to assist in replacing equipment and resources for the primary and secondary schools in Tavua in this time of need. Please donate generously and feel free to share this page with others.
Get behind us with this, helping the family and communities of our valued teachers.
