  • September Update

      23 September 2025

Hello all, I thought I’d post more frequent updates here but really haven’t gotten around to it, sorry! I took an extended chemo-break after my sixth cycle of Trabectedin while waiting to see what the scans showed in terms of how affective it had been. The scans showed my tumours are stable and some have even shrunk very slightly, which is great news. I opted to do another 3 cycles for now, and then reassess again. I am one week post infusion now, and have had all the usual symptoms - nausea, fatigue, bone pain, etc but am starting to feel back to normal. I just wanted to take this opportunity again to thank everyone who has so generously donated to help make this possible 🫶 I’m truly grateful.

  • Trabectedin Cycle 1 Done

I’m 6 days post my first Trabectedin infusion, and finally starting to feel right again. Side effects have been pretty similar to Doxorubicin for me - fatigue and nausea, headaches and a bit of bone pain from the pegfilgrastim injection that stimulates my bone marrow to make more white blood cells so I don’t get immunocompromised. Really glad to be through the worst of the nausea for this round, managed to get out for a walk with Maple today and looking forward to the next couple of weeks feeling more normal before the next cycle. Thank you all for your generous donations.
