Hetrotono - music to increase awareness of the threats to the sea

The sea and its sea ancients need a voice, support the global release of Hetrotono - music and video project.

Nationwide

I am a musician who feels that there is now a desperate need to focus on reversing the damage we have done to the sea.

I have composed and produced two tracks - Hetrotono Tahi and Rua, in an attempt to inspire more dialog and awareness. The underwater voices of the sea ancients will slowly disappear with the increased rate of extinction. Is it true that most fish now contain traces of plastic? What is it that causes Whales to beach?

Hetrotono is not an accusation or a war cry, it is a thought monger, attempting to increase debate by proposing surmised or imagined future realities.

To get the message out to the biggest viewership, videos need to be made and promoted. I have created a concept (demo) video for Tahi which is now on YouTube and linked to this page. Video is not my specialty, so please forgive it and me, I am looking for funding to get a better result.

Making money is not Hetrotono's purpose, but if it does gain significant viewership, it will. I have the ownership rights established through my membership of APRA CMOS NZ. I also have a global distribution agreement in place to collect revenue from sources that play it, including YouTube.

I commit to sharing 50% of any profit towards a follow on release or releases for the same worthy cause, likely to involve other NZ musicians who are already interested.

Use of funds

The funds will be used to create two videos and a social marketing plan to launch Hetrotono and maximize its impact, globally.
