Raising funds to attend both ANOC games in Qatar and Junior World Games in Chile
Otago
I have grown up in the small town of Wanaka and since the age of five I have loved the sport of Karate. Now at the age of 18 I am now currently number one in New Zealand for under 21 female Kata. My journey in Karate has been challenging, but hugely rewarding. This year (2019) I moved to Auckland for University and to train with the top Karateka within New Zealand, after a recent passing of my Coach Sensei Chris McGregor. I've strived to carry on his legacy for both him and I through with my recent selection for both Junior Worlds and now ANOC Games.
Although Karate is a huge sport overseas there is a lack of funding within New Zealand through Karate being a minor sport here. This is all about to change with Karate being an Olympic sport for the first time in 2020. I first started competing at a national level at the age of 8 years old with the huge support of my family, who have paid for everything in order to help me reach my goals. It has taken a massive commitment to get selected and now the time has come to ask for a little help.
If you know me and know how hard I will keep training then please give a little, it will all add up so I can get there!
To help fund return airfares to both competitions and accommodation. All funds raised will go to towards costs to attend World Karate Federation events.
