Swimming, biking, running, paddling, hoping, skipping jumping our way from Cape Reinga to the Beehive Wellington in 16 days

Rick Wells, Ian Jones and the Blue70 athlete crew are embarking in an effort to push themselves to the limits and connect with Communities Nationwide to raise funds for Gumboot Friday and most important raise awareness and have conversations around normalizing mental health

Anyone can join, let’s get out, get active and get together for the cause

About us

Gumboot Friday is an initiative by the I Am Hope Foundation (registration number CC44260), a fundraising and advocacy organisation, which connects kids and young people with existing counsellors or therapists for free counselling.

Use of funds

All donations made to the Gumboot Friday Fund directly support kids in need.

Due Drop Hope Challenge 18 March 2023

With the postponement due to the cyclone we have had to reschedule and update the page to now finish after the tour which will kick off April 11th.

Thank you for your tireless efforts. As someone who deeply loves someone with depression I see his daily struggle. We have the luxury of being able to afford private counselling and treatment.
