Hope for Asha

Edited to add: Unfortunately Asha has been declined a transplant. Her focus is on spending time with her family, and she wants to thank everyone for their love and support.

Asha was diagnosed with a rare disease at 16. Wegener's granulomatosis is a form of vasculitis that most commonly affects the upper respiratory tract, lungs and kidneys.

Asha is an inspiration to those who know her. Living a busy full life despite her health issues. She works full time and has been blessed to adopt two children.

Unfortunately, Asha's health has deteriorated recently and she is now being optimised for a lung transplant.

Asha is currently in hospital, when she goes home (hopefully this week) she will require support with childcare, household tasks and meal preparation so she can focus on rebuilding her stamina, immunity and weight while she waits to hear about a transplant.

To date we have been unsuccessful in obtaining MOH funded services due to the rareness of Asha's diagnosis - but we are continuing to investigate this avenue, and if successful we would cease requesting donations through this page - and hold any existing funds to help with transport/extra expenses during the transplant appointments/process.

We appreciate any money that can be spared, but equally appreciate any thoughts, prayers , goodwill and messages of support for Asha and her family.
