Co-creating the proper studio environment to practice Hot Yoga and Hiit Pilates with an emphasis on yoga education and trauma informed yoga.
Timaru, Canterbury
Hi Everyone, we see a need for a community hot yoga studio in Timaru, and in Panmure, Auckland, New Zealand.
With a background in advertising and promotions and events management, I am capable of running two Hot Yoga Studios - one in my home town of Timaru and the other in Auckland where I lived and worked for seven years.
With premises on the corner of North Street and Stafford Street in Timaru, and in the Panmure Basin, Auckland, I am raising money to install heating, mirrors, showers and flooring in the studio.
I have been teaching in Auckland and Timaru for the past two years, and completed my 26&2 training in the Hawkes Bay in 2023 with E84 and Hot Yoga Works Britomart.
The hot yoga environment gently allows the release of body patterns and stored memories that affect day-to-day living. There are benefits in mental and physical well-being and because it is yoga based philosophy, there is a spiritual aspect that lends itself through community involvement and participation.
I am currently traveling as a mobile instructor but see the need for a home base in each island in New Zealand. There is a community of teachers who would be willing to work for a salary and receive accommodation in each of the studios. Thus we are able to provide access to influences from abroad such as Forrest Yoga from Germany and Buddhist teachings from Canberra, Australia and Bodhi Gaya in India, as well as the E84 community worldwide.
All funds raised will go towards installing heating systems using forced air and infrared, humidifiers, painting, carpeting, mirrors, and upgrading and installing showers and changing rooms.
