4 young people have lost everything in a massive blaze that took their home. All they have left is the clothes on their backs.
Wellington
One of the residents of 79 Tutere Street was fast asleep in his shared flat while he waited for his flatmates to return home. The plan for the evening was to chill and have dinner together. He had cleaned the house and lit the open fire earlier that afternoon.
When he woke, he was surrounded by smoke and flames, he got up and ran out of the house just seconds before his bedroom was engulfed in flames and the roof of the property collapsed. Luckily no one else was home and no one was injured. The four young adults have lost everything and literally only have the clothes on their backs.
We want to raise funds for them to be able to get back on their feet - buy clothes, food, necessities and eventually find a new home of their own.
The flatmates are Jacob Takiwa, Anil Sonkhla, Alex Mclennigan and Teeana Tawhiti - Watson. They do not have insurance.
The beneficiary and one of his flat mates are living with me at the moment as there house has burnt down.
Funds will be used for clothes, phones, necessities, living expenses.
