Help us buy land to build a Buddhist Vihara for Dhamma, culture, and community in Palmerston North.

Palmerston North, Manawatu-Wanganui

In the heart of Palmerston North, a small group of Sri Lankan families gathered each week in a rented hall—lighting a simple oil lamp, chanting together, and sharing the warmth of their culture. For many, these gatherings were more than religious activities; they were moments of belonging, reminders of home, and a source of strength in a busy world.

As the community grew, so did the dream:

a permanent Buddhist Vihara—a sacred space where Dhamma could flourish, children could learn their language and culture, and people of all backgrounds could find peace.

Today, that dream is within reach.

But to make it real, we must take the most important step: to acquire a suitable property to build a Buddhist temple

Every contribution—large or small—becomes a brick in this future sanctuary.

Every act of generosity becomes a blessing that will support:

- The advancement of Buddhism in the Manawatū region

- Teaching Sri Lankan language and cultural traditions to the next generation

- Guiding youth through the Young Members Buddhist Association

- Strengthening ethical values and compassionate living

- Building harmony across diverse communities in New Zealand

By giving today, you are not just donating—you are helping create a spiritual home that will serve countless families for generations.

Let us build this temple together.

Let us build a legacy of Dhamma, culture, and compassion.
