On the Sunday night before each Christmas, we host Carols by Candlelight. Crowds join performers to joyously sing out popular carols

Mountainview High School Auditorium, Pages Road, Timaru. Doors open 6.30pm and the concert commences 7:00pm.
The Salvation Army food bank is our Carols by Candlelight charity for this year
Tony Bunting is to compere. There will be backing by the Alpine Energy Brass Band and Salvation Army band members. Performances will be by: Jess Bacon’s highland dancers & piper; Abigail Austin’s family and children groups; Rhyth-mix group; and co.

Join in the Christmas spirit and dress-up with your best candle-like or self-illuminations. There will be a prize for the best effort at the auditorium.

Entry is by ticket because of limited seating. They can be collected on a first-served basis from Timaru iSite Visitor Information Centre at 2 George Street or from Community House, 27 Strathallan Street, Timaru.

Everyone volunteers their time and talents for our entertainment and enjoyment. Venue hire and promotion costs are usually covered by sponsorship. The Aoraki Foundation is our current sponsor. Other support is provided by: Street Banner - Timaru Signs and Graphix; and, Sound - Audio Dynamite.
Donations for charity
There is no charge for entry but gold coin donations on the night benefit a charity chosen each year. Donations may also be accepted via Givealittle

Since 1969, we have undertaken many local, district, national and international projects covering all avenues of Rotary service, especially youth projects. Funds are administered and distributed via the Rotary Club of Timaru North Charitable Trust.
Proceeds for this year will go to our local Salvation Army food bank.
