    Thank you for helping.

Thaks to Kim for settng it up.

I'm 12 weeks into chemo and there is at tje very least 12 more weeks still to go. Scanning in 2 weeks to see if it is all working. I've had complications along the way that have made it tricky but still confident the potent medicine will work and I can keep punishing ypu all with my jokes about it all.

Hey team, just wanted to extend a HUGE thank you for your generous donations. As you'll have seen in Gary's update, he's poised to start chemo again, so everything crossed for a positive outcome. There's still time to donate, so spread the word to Team Gary members who may have missed the memo. You all rock!

Chemo inside the next fortnight for at least 3 months before hopeful improvements. Saw the oncologist. We are at go time. Last time I didn't lose hair as the Chemo I did was stronger and attacked my nerve cells (Google FOLFOX). Those nerves are a bit too munted now so next chemo will bring in "bald Gary" phase (Google FOLFIRI)...but I won't be allergic to the cold. Which is nice because the nerves was hell. Will Will Smith defend my bald-a** honour?

I have cancer in my liver, lungs and some nodular shizz. Tumour Willis 2 will will be the name for small one in lung. Tuma Thurman the Third will be nodular one. Amy Tumour (pictured) will be the name of the Liver one (Since, like Schumer, it's already been done before and is just plagiarism by now. Whoa, sick burn of a comedian much, much better than me!). It's all bowel cancer. They hope it shrinks for surgery but we are moving into a more "keep me alive longer" as opposed to a possible "cure" now. Neat.

  • Timeline of the journey

Timeline: 2021 Bowel Cancer found. A week later, found more serious metastasis in liver

Aggressive chemo for liver to shrink tumours so they weren't blocking veins/ducts. Then hemihepadectomy *half liver removed to get rid of 8cm diameter lesion. With ablation of other tumours 5cm/3cm in remaining side. Gall bladder removed.

    2022 more chemo

Bowel Resection surgery to remove original cancer and 30cm-ish of bowel. Dream recovery.

2023: small tumour found in lungs. Immediate, painful surgery.

April 2024 new tumour in liver, near the surface and easy to get to for ablation. Large tumour so 2 needles rather than the usual 1 to burn it out.

Late 2024 Hospital stay for unknown issue with vomiting, ilpain and yellow with jaundice. Happened again a few weeks later.

2025 Reason for this illness found on MRI scan 2 weeks ago. Large tumour on outside of where my original large liver one was. Smaller one blocking bike ducts.

Hospital visit on Wednesday March 12. They're running out of options but hopeful. "You dont have to make a will yet but its not looking great. We are running out of options. Do you need me to be more blunt and spell it out for you?" My surgeon is a robot. But a very, very good at his job robot.

I'm on an 8 week wait list for chemo. I havent worked full time in a long time so fully dependent on our genuinely magnificent public health sector. It's just many others are reliant as well and rhey deserve the same care. So it maybe a little long to wait...
