Timeline: 2021 Bowel Cancer found. A week later, found more serious metastasis in liver
Aggressive chemo for liver to shrink tumours so they weren't blocking veins/ducts. Then hemihepadectomy *half liver removed to get rid of 8cm diameter lesion. With ablation of other tumours 5cm/3cm in remaining side. Gall bladder removed.
2022 more chemo
Bowel Resection surgery to remove original cancer and 30cm-ish of bowel. Dream recovery.
2023: small tumour found in lungs. Immediate, painful surgery.
April 2024 new tumour in liver, near the surface and easy to get to for ablation. Large tumour so 2 needles rather than the usual 1 to burn it out.
Late 2024 Hospital stay for unknown issue with vomiting, ilpain and yellow with jaundice. Happened again a few weeks later.
2025 Reason for this illness found on MRI scan 2 weeks ago. Large tumour on outside of where my original large liver one was. Smaller one blocking bike ducts.
Hospital visit on Wednesday March 12. They're running out of options but hopeful. "You dont have to make a will yet but its not looking great. We are running out of options. Do you need me to be more blunt and spell it out for you?" My surgeon is a robot. But a very, very good at his job robot.
I'm on an 8 week wait list for chemo. I havent worked full time in a long time so fully dependent on our genuinely magnificent public health sector. It's just many others are reliant as well and rhey deserve the same care. So it maybe a little long to wait...
