Thanks again for your support - I made it to South Africa. It is hot (30 degrees) and I went for my first training run which I definitely felt the higher Altitude. We visited the NWU Campus Sports Facility yesterday which is an amazing facility. We have 9 days here in South Africa before we head to Nairobi for the main event. Lots of time to keep the training up.

Since my last update I went to the NZ track and field nationals and got a national title in the U18 women’s 2000m steeplechase. And managed a solid 5th in the 3000m with a PB.
Because of these results, I have just been selected for the Oceania track and Field championships in Fiji! I will head there a week and a bit after I get back from Africa!

Recently I’ve had a couple of races, with a PB (personal best) in the mile and a SB (seasons best) in the 3000m! Pretty excited to wear the New Zealand singlet as part of the classics schools team!
Thanks for your support so far, it has been amazing. This weekend I am racing in my first Track race for 2024 and wearing the Silver Fern. Excited! Will keep you all updated along the way how my races and training are going.
