Help me get therapy in Sydney

Hi everyone, I'm Liv.

I hid big secrets when I was in mummy’s puku. I was born with lots of medical issues that surprised everyone... My oesophagus was split in two, and part of it was attached to a fragile windpipe- crazy, aye!

The biggest secret: I have superpowered genes! I have Trisomy 21 (Down Syndrome), meaning three copies of the 21st chromosome.

This has led to challenges in my everyday life.

I get sick often & at times need to see my friends at Taranaki Base and Waikato hospitals -sometimes for weeks. I miss my big brother & my parent that stays behind when this happens.

While I'm mostly like other kids, I reach milestones at a much slower pace. I need a lot of love, patience & help to do most things a 3yr old can do, like stand, walk, feed myself safely, play and communicate.

I'll get there one day... With your support, that day can be soon!

An incredible place called NAPA in Sydney can help me, and I've got a spot to visit them in September. It’s my best chance to kick ass in this world!

For 3 weeks, 4 hours a day, I'll get specialised intensive therapies that push my abilities. The goals are to walk, feed safely, communicate more & play functionally.

My whānau is one of many Kiwi families that need to raise funds for their children to receive this treatment to improve their quality of life.
