Get our team to Sports Camp!

Every December Ignite Sport's dedicated youth development workers bring together a team of 40 senior high school young people to attend the Youth Sports Camp at Tōtara Springs in Matamata. The team spend 5 full days together - travelling, competing, connecting & fellowshipping. The camp is a stand out experience for many young people who attend as it creates rare opportunities for self expression, self reflection & self discovery. When we ask young people who attend they tell us that Sports Camp is a significant event in their life & their journey with Ignite Sport. Here's what a camper from 2024 had to say;

“I enjoyed meeting a lot of different people who I did not know before hand and just having a comfortable and supportive space where I could be myself and enjoy what I like to do most (sports). Sports camp helped me grow both physically and mentally - teaching me the importance of teamwork, perseverance and pushing past my limits. It provided a space where I could challenge myself, build lasting friendships and gain confidence in my abilities, all of which have shaped who I am today.”
