Immigration Lawyer Help

As many of you know, Sara's visa got declined and she had to go back to Minnesota immediately. Sara was not legally able to work for the last 4 months while being here in NZ and we were fairly certain we wouldn't have any problems with our visa. However, that wasn't the case and the visa got declined with giving us just a few days to have her leave the country. Being from two different countries we knew we would have work ahead of us to be able to be together. We visited an immigration lawyer/advisor the morning Sara left and decided to hire him to help fight for our case and have a higher chance of our next visa being accepted. Now with being in two separate countries and being forced into long distance again, we want this time apart to be as short as possible. I know it's asking so much because there are people in much worse situations, but we would greatly appreciate even the smallest of help to help pay for our lawyer and finally get Sara here long term so we can continue on with the life we have started together.
