Ko te wehi ki te Atua
Me whakakororia tona ingoa
I nga wa katoa.
Kei te mihi ahau
I te Matua nui I te rangi
Nana nei nga mea katoa.
Kia tau mai
Te aroha
Nga manaakitanga
O te Atua.
A te Korowai o te Kaihanga
A te korowai o te rangimarie
Kua horaina mai
I runga I a tatou.
Firstly we send our aroha to you all, for the continuous aroha and support that has flowed through over the past weeks, we are forever great full to whanau and friends.
We were very fortunate that we found a copy of Hemi’s will which gave us much peace with the decision that we as a whanau have made. The results of Hemi’s post-mortem have been released and have shown that the cause of his death was heart related. This news is very recent however and we are still waiting for Hemi to be released and moved to the funeral parlour. When Hemi arrives at the funeral parlour he will then lie there for seven days. There will then be a service held for Hemi in Perth and we will organise a live stream connection for whanau and friends in Aotearoa New Zealand.
We as a whanau have decided Hemi will be cremated and his ashes will be bought home by his Whanau. We will be taking Hemi back to Ngati Kahu Te Ranginui Marae, Kenana, North land.
We have yet to confirm these arrangements and will inform Whanau and Friends when this will take place.
In light of the decision that has been made for cremation, we are adjusting the Give a Little page to reflect this. We thank you for all your kind donations to date to support bringing Hemi back home.
