In Loving Memory of Lucy & Nova — Supporting Oakley and Rylie

Our families are grieving the loss of two much‑loved dogs. Our beautiful Lucy has died, as has Zoe and Adam’s treasured Nova. Their other dog, Oakley, needed urgent specialist veterinary care, while another family dog, Rylie, survived and is recovering.

The past few days have been traumatic. While grieving Nova and Lucy, Zoe and Adam have spent hours doing everything they can for Oakley, supported by dedicated veterinarians, veterinary nurses and specialists. We are also heartbroken over Lucy, who brought so much love and joy to our families.

We still do not know exactly what happened. A toxin is suspected, and investigations are under way. We have also learned that a dog down the road and a cat on a neighbouring property have become seriously unwell. We cannot yet say whether their illnesses are connected, but our community is understandably concerned and looking for answers.

Anyone who knows Zoe and Adam knows their dogs are family. We have created this Givealittle page to help ease the financial pressure of emergency care and testing while they face an incredibly painful time.
