In Loving Memory of Mike Padgett 💛

Mike was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a deeply valued colleague and friend. After 24 years at ASB, he was known for his integrity, work ethic and unwavering commitment to doing the right thing. Above all, Mike was driven by his love for his family.

He worked tirelessly to support Lisa and their daughters, Lola and Dita, who have been beautifully homeschooled in nature with Lisa’s dedication and strength. Mike was selfless, humble and focused on giving his family a stable nurturing life.

Unfortunately his life was cut short by a rare cancer that was misdiagnosed as appendicitis in 2021. By the time the mistake was discovered in 2025 it was too late.

Mike also leaves behind a legacy tied to the whenua. He was passionate about the Waitākere Ranges Heritage Area and the work he and Lisa did to protect it. He had been working through a long held bucket list for the land hoping to spend his later years pottering on the whenua doing what he loved most.

Many colleagues, former colleagues and customers have asked how they can help. This Givealittle page has been created to support the future education and wellbeing of Lola and Dita, to provide stability for Lisa and to help honour Mike’s vision for the land ensuring the girls can continue to grow up and thrive in nature without the burden of the property falling on them.
