Memorial for Missy Girl
Waikato
Kia ora everyone,
As some of you may have seen, our beloved cat and little sister, Missy girl, sadly passed away on 14th October 2025 at 10:50pm, in my arms and surrounded by her whānau. ❤️🩹
Missy would have been with us for 16 beautiful years this November, and together we’ve shared thousands of loving, heartbreaking, ugly, hilarious, and beautiful memories. Her loss has left a huge space in our hearts and our hallways and home have become so quiet without her.
Sadly, about a month before her passing, Missy was attacked by a dog but bravely fought and recovered. Then two weeks ago, she was attacked again. Although she tried her best to stay strong, her little body began to deteriorate due to old age and gum disease she had been struggling with.
We’re hoping to have her cremated so we can keep her close with some of her ashes placed into jewellery and a weighted stuffed toy to hold onto.
Like everyone else working minimum wage we’re struggling to make ends meet so we thought we politely ask If anyone would like to donate/koha, big or small (even $0.01), towards her cremation fee, we would be deeply grateful. Every little bit helps us give her the loving farewell she deserves.
If you’d also like to carry a piece of her with you, please let me know and I’ll make sure something special is made for you. ❤️
Thank you all so much for your love, kindness, and support during this time.
Arohanui,
Puarangi & Missy Girl’s Whānau
