Richard was murdered on the 11th April, taken away from us well before his time. He will never see his children grow up or watch them play rugby or soccer again. He was such a proud and devoted father to his three beloved sons aged 10 and younger, Mason, Phoenix and Zavier.

ARREST MADE 3 June 2023

The Leman Family have prayed for this day to come, for an arrest to be made, and for Justice to prevail.

Richard was and always will be a Son, a Brother and a Father who loved his family with all that he had and in return his family loved him unconditionally. The past 7 weeks have been the most heart breaking and stressful of all our lives.

As Richards book of life is written this chapter is now closed, with the remaining chapters yet to be written, undoubtedly, they will be filled with more tears as we navigate the times ahead, watching, waiting and praying for Justice to be served.

We would like to thank the NZ Police for their absolute commitment and unwavering determination to find Richard’s murderer, and to get Justice for Richard.
