Support for Sharon and family

Waikato

It is with great sadness that a tragic accident has happened resulting in Ray Spooner, 36, passing away. Taken far too soon but doing what he loved on his beloved motorbike.

He leaves behind him an amazing wife Sharon and 3 beautiful kids - Ollie (13), Jackson (9) & Paige (7) and we are setting up this page to support them moving forward in the tough journey that lies ahead of them.

Ray touched many many lives and he will be immensely missed, he was the most genuine, caring soul, the life of the party and would be there at the drop of a hat for anyone who asked. This is just a small token of support we can offer Shaz and her family during this awful time.

We the Rangitawa Whanau from Marton. Send our aroha and prayers to Raymond's wife and children. Raymond's parents Vicki and Gavin, brothers Sam and Tim and extended Whanau. We have very fond memories of Vicki and Gavins sons. Watching them grow into handsome young boys till they moved. The younger boys would play with my daughter, as they were friends and were roughly the same age. Our parents, Merle and James were very fond of the boys. Sneaking lollies to the boys or my Dad shaking their hands.. It's not much, but with the love and support of your friends and family. We hope it helps to ease the burden. Our deepest sympathy to you all.

I only met Ray once but he was an instantly likeable guy. I respect the work he, his colleagues and mates are doing at Puniu River Care and was shocked and saddened by his untimely death. I offer my sincere condolences to his family and friends.
