Fundraising to send Indi-lee to the ISA World Junior Surfing Games to represent New Zealand.
Whangarei, Northland
Indi-Lee has been living and breathing surfing for most of her life. This year she has achieved a major goal by being selected to represent her country at the ISA World Junior Surfing Champs in El Salvador in May. The trip is self funded and will cost approximately $10000 (we are fundraising off of Givealittle for the other $2k!) . We have a very short window of time (approximately 8 weeks) to fundraise the amount needed to get her there. All funds will go towards meeting the travel, accomodation, food and equipment costs of the campaign. Indi is also putting her own funds towards the trip with savings from previous competition prize money and money earn’t surf coaching. Any support from our friends, family and the surfing community is very gratefully received. Indi plans to keep all her supporters updated throughout her campaign with regular posts and updates on her social media channels.
"I'm super excited to be representing my country at Worlds. It is the biggest junior surfing event in the world and all the top surfers will be there. I'm really motivated to train hard and compete against the best in the world! and I'm really proud to be representing my country and all my family and supporters. Thanks for supporting me."

Indi’s ISA World’s Surfing Update 27 July 2024
Indi had an amazing experience in El Salvador. With the generous support on this platform along with raffles, surf coaching work, sponsors, and an epic music night we were able to fundraise the total amount needed for her campaign.
Indi surfed with confidence at the competition, she was first up for team NZ and won her first heat, she then progressed the next heat. Coming up against two top surfers in Round 3, one who went on to win the world title. Indi lifted her surfing level to try and match the best. She had one wave that got her really close to advancing but was unlucky to not get a wave with more scoring potential. Her repecharge round wasn’t her best surfing and she came down with a virus shortly after that heat. Indi finished 41st overall she is happy and proud of her performance and enjoyed all aspects of the event.
The experience was monumental for Indi and she has come home so focused to make the team again next year. Despite the cold and at times average waves she continues to train and push herself. She wants to see how far she can go with her surfing.
We are looking forward to watching her progress through the rest of the year with the Māori surf titles and National Scholastics events in October. Her campaign to make the 2025 NZ junior team next year starts with Nationals in January.
We are so grateful to all the people who supported her along the way.
and Thank You for your financial support towards her first Worlds event.
