Irene Livingston has been there for us during the long hours and the hardest files—now, it is our turn to be there for her.
Wellington
For nearly three decades, Irene Livingston has been an integral part of our team across Wellington, Hutt Valley, and Kapiti CIB.
She has handled complex cases, and helped her colleagues out.
Irene is much more than a colleague. She has been a steady, compassionate anchor for victims in their most vulnerable moments and a source of unwavering support for CIB staff who walk beside her.
In September 2025, Irene was admitted to hospital, gravely ill.
While her strength and resilience in the face of such a critical situation have been nothing short of extraordinary, she is now navigating an incurable illness.
To manage her condition, Irene requires ongoing, medication which is subsidised. This treatment is life-sustaining.
However, Irene needs to see her Doctor in Wellington weekly.
She is unable to work, which has created additional stress, and added another financial burden for her to navigate.
We all know Irene, she is a very proud woman and doesn't think she deserves any help.
Our goal is to remove the financial stress for Irene so she can focus entirely on her health & wellbeing.

Message from Irene 20 January 2026
I'd like to say thank you to each and everyone of you. There are not enough words to describe how grateful and honored I am for your amazing generosity and kind words. I am not ready to go down yet without a fight, I still have alot more to give.
Best wishes and kind regards,
Irene
