  • Update on Neetz

    A brief update for you all.

    Neetz had a surgical appointment today. She is priority 1 for cancer surgery, which is expected to be in April sometime. The surgeon will be more intensive and try to get better margins in removing the cancer this time.

    Her oncologist and surgeon have not given up yet, in spite of having discussed a referral to hospice for palliative care.

    Neetz expresses her deep love, gratitude and thanks to everyone who has given to the givealittle page, they are blown away by the generosity of people, both known and unknown. These funds may be needed soon for unfunded treatment.

    Neetz is feeling well in her head and heart. Her faith is bringing a lot of strength and courage, and she chooses to declare peace over herself in the face of challenging news.

    She also draws a lot of strength from her whānau and appreciates everyone's support and care.

    Once again from me (Arna), a huge thanks for your generosity in giving and sharing the page. Every gift really blesses me and my own whānau. One person can only do so much, but together we can achieve much more.

    Please continue to send your thoughts, aroha (love), care and support to the Basset whānau and pray for our beautiful Neetz, for her strength and healing. And if you can, share the page, it really does make a difference ❤️

    Just in case you didn't see her comment on the last update - here's a message from our lovely Neetz ❤️

    I actually dont have the words to fully express my gratitude and thanks to you Arna, and toevery single person who has, out of the goodness of their hearts shown their Awhi/ support for my family and I at this time x. We are not used to accepting things like this, or being on the receiving end … so its just blown us away and we are very humbled. I am feeling very loved and supported in this tough journey. The road ahead feels so much more bearable when we have all of you standing with us x As Ive stated previously…. I am nowhere near giving up in this battle ahead, and will continue even more fervently with your backing, and my faith in God x. As reluctant as I was to accept a page like this, or financial support, Many of you have made me see that this is an action of love, which will be of huge benefit and basically I need to suck it up and get over myself! (Thank you!) lol. So, please accept this message as a personal acknowledgment with much love and thanks x Arohanui, Juanita and Warren, Asher and Kendyl xxx

    I just wanted to extend a massive thank you to everyone who has so generously given, and shared the page over the last couple of days!

    I know Juanita and Warren are really overwhelmed by the outpouring of love for them.

    I'd love to bless them with as much finance as possible so let's keep sharing with our communities and whānau etc and see where we can get to!
