IWNZ Cyclone Gabrielle Appeal

This Appeal is created to accept donations to support those affected by the devastation of Cyclone Gabrielle in New Zealand's North Island during February 2023.

Cyclone Gabrielle has caused widespread damage to many communities and families across the North Island of NZ. The purpose of this appeal is to collect support funds that will be distributed by Inner Wheel NZ to reach those affected by the disaster.

We will be supporting families and local community groups in need across the country.

There is a phased approach to ensure funding is ultimately distributed transparently.

Phase 1 - Collection phase

Phase 2 - Application Phase

Phase 3 - Decision Phase

Phase 4 - Distribution and notification phase

The Special Committee, is being set up in early March and will consist of IWNZ members from the National Executive, National Council, the affected regions and an independent person.

Application phase via an application form to all IWNZ Clubs with clearly specified timeframe and criteria.

Decision phase is where the committee will assess each application and a make decisions for fair and transparent distribution of funds.

We see this process taking a number of months. All timeframes will be published in updates before 13th March 2023.

There will be complete transparency in regards to the distribution of funds, to ensure that the process is made fairly and efficiently. All distributions will be recorded on the IWNZ Website www.innerwheel.org.nz
