While our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that he is now resting in the loving arms of Jesus and free from pain.

His cremation was held on June 17, 2026, and his funeral service was held on June 20, 2026. Family, friends, colleagues, church family, classmates, and professors from around the world gathered to honor and celebrate his life.

It was a beautiful and heartfelt service filled with love, tears, prayers, and precious memories. The many tributes shared were a testament to the kind, compassionate, and faithful man Jacob was. Though he was called to paradise far sooner than we wished, his life was a blessing to so many, and his legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched.

We will continue to celebrate your life and cherish your memory, especially for your children, so they may always know the incredible man, father, and friend you were.

Until we meet again in God's perfect time, rest peacefully in His eternal embrace. You will always be loved, remembered, and deeply missed.

P.S. The link of his memorial service is below. However, it was cut short as the service was longer than expected. The speech of his brother and wife weren’t captured.

  • Latest update with Jacob

      15 June 2026

It is with great sadness that we share the news that Jacob passed away peacefully in his sleep last night sometime around 11:00 PM.

We are currently making funeral arrangements and are awaiting the arrival of his brother, who will be coming to New Zealand on Wednesday.

Jacob was diagnosed with sarcoma, a rare, complex, and aggressive form of cancer. His condition deteriorated very quickly, and unfortunately, he was no longer able to undergo treatment. Doctors advised that his case had become irreversible.

The family is deeply grateful for the love, support, prayers, and kind words they have received over the past few weeks. Your compassion and generosity have meant so much during this difficult time, and they will be forever thankful to each and every one of you.

The funds collected through this donation will be used to support Jacob’s wife and their two children as they begin rebuilding their future. We remain hopeful that they will be able to stay permanently in New Zealand, in accordance with Jacob’s final wish.

Thank you all for your continued support, kindness, and prayers.

      10 June 2026

    Hello everyone,

The Mojica family has been overwhelmed by the love, support, care, and generosity they have received from the very beginning. They are deeply grateful for every donation, prayer, kind word, and act of encouragement shown to Jacob and their family.

On Tuesday, June 9, Jacob experienced a sudden medical emergency that came as a shock to all of us. Late that morning, he suffered a seizure and subsequently fell into a coma. Following a scan, doctors discovered that the tumor in his brain had doubled in size and that there was significant bleeding throughout his brain, which led to his current condition.

At this time, Jacob remains unconscious and has not regained awareness. The doctors have informed the family that any treatments will be no use anymore but will do all their best to make him as comfortable as possible. While the situation is very serious, we continue to hold on to hope and pray for a miracle. Let’s place our trust in the Lord, knowing that He alone knows what lies ahead.

Please continue to keep Jacob and the Mojica family in your prayers. May God’s will be done, and may His strength, comfort, and peace surround them during this difficult time.

Thank you all for your continued love and support. God bless everyone.

Thank you to everyone who has donated and supported Jacob and his family during this difficult time. He remains in the hospital under close monitoring while we await the results of his biopsy.

The pathologists have encountered challenges in identifying the exact type of cancer, as Jacob appears to have a very rare and rapidly progressing condition.

His most recent scan also revealed swelling in his brain, and he is currently receiving steroids to help reduce the inflammation. They took another sample to test from his colonoscopy and praying that it will give us all more definite answers to start the appropriate treatment plans.

We will continue to keep you updated as we receive more information about his condition. Thank you again for your generosity, prayers, and support. God bless.
