Jadens Kidney Transplant Surgery

Hey guys 😊

We're looking to raise funds for Jadens (26 years old) kidney transplant due to take place on September 9th, 2024. One month away 😊

Her kidney transplant is being donated by a close family member (who chooses not to be named). And we are so blessed and grateful!!!

Over 4 to 6 weeks post-transplant, she will be recovering in an accomodation close to the hospital, where she is expected to visit everyday to be assessed. During these weeks it is crucial she makes it to these appointments as it will ensure that her body doesn't reject her new kidney.

Our goal is to reach $4,000 so that we can comfortably get by and not worry.

A little back story..

It's been a long journey, after being diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy (also known as Bergers disease) in 2020, she was 22 years old at the time. This type of kidney disease has no origin, and has no known cures.

Her kidney function in both kidneys, rapidly declined to 4% function of which she then moved on to dialysis in 2022 (at 24 years old).

We got the surprise call 2 weeks ago and this news has shaken our families lives. We are feeling every emotion right now! But most of all we are thankful and grateful that this promise for a less restricted, and less worrying future is possible..
