Surgery needed again
Canterbury
After being diagnosed at the age of 22 with Endometriosis, after 10 years of increasingly debilitating pain, I have endured endless pain, fatigue, heartbreak, and financial strain - both in lost income and expenses. I also learnt how important it was to look after my body, to treat it well and feed it a nutrient dense diet and manage stress levels. I work on my health every single day.
Two and a half years ago, I had my seventh surgery, a hysterectomy, said to be a cure for the Endometriosis, Adenomyosis and recurrent Uterine Fibroids that had taken over my life for the previous 13 years. I gave up my dream of being a Mum, in the pursuit of my health. It was so hard, but I regained a quality of life I had not had for so long.
Recently, after months of agony and fatigue I have found out that it is back, in my ovaries, and I need surgery again.
Funds raised will be used to pay the excess to my medical insurance company and allow me to survive while having time off work. I work for myself so do not get sick pay or annual leave.
❤ Thank you ❤ 22 September 2017
Thank you to all the wonderful people who donated money to help me. I was overwhelmed by your generosity and love.
This journey has been much harder than I ever thought possible, and I am having surgery again next week.
I just wanted you all to know that you have made a tough time immeasurably easier and lessened the stress of it all. From the bottom of my heart - thank you ❤
