Jake sadly passed away on Monday 12th February 2018, 01:20 New Zealand Time.
He fought until the very end, without a tear shed, and died in his father's arms with family present.
He is now in a place of peace.
Any funds that are outstanding, shall go to help towards funeral costs, thank you very much for all donations.
Jake recently graduated From Westlake Boys' High School and he managed to attend the ceremony in person. He was an excellent student.
------------------------
After suffering pain for a few months, Jake was diagnosed with Stage 4 Rhabdomyosarcoma in March 2016. This is a very rare muscle cancer. He was given a year of chemo and radiation and the cancer was thought to be cleared, but within a couple of months it returned with a vengeance. It slowly spread and grew. Jake later had light doses of chemo (the body can only take so much) and more radiations. His parents are put all efforts into various dietary supplements to boost his immune system.
Jake survived beyond what as thought possible by his doctors due to being an a very healthy diet with lots of filtered water. Simply, this maintained his immune system so that he could better handle the treatment.
I am Jake's uncle. Jake's dad is my brother. I just want to help raise a little money for them.
Funds will be used solely for dietary supplements and other costs for Jake. He has been having vitamin C infusions, concentrated oral vitamin C, various other vitamins, foods rich in all vitamins, Tbl12 (sea cucumber extract), aronia, various nuts, milk thistle, hempseed oil, Essiac tea, all sorts of Asian herbs, and so on. Naturally, it all costs a fortune. My brother tells me the doctors are always surprised at how healthy Jake looks. Jake passes his time by ... studying. He is positive.
