Jason, Katie and their kids need time together - please help the Watsons - A story of strength & a double lung transplant.

  • Thank You - From the Watsons.

      4 February 2025

Emotionally it was a really big decision for Katie & Jason to create a 'Give-a-little' page. Both had been through so much and even still, didn't want to ask for help. Strong kiwis who can survive anything - forever the ethos. It took a smidge of convincing, but we got there, and the page was created.

The absolute blessing for Jason and Katie was to be able to spend time together and read all the comments of support and to feel that connection of love and of care. Knowing that they weren't alone was something that gave peace and a level of gratitude that no words can explain.

Please know that in those final days for Jason, both of them took so much from what each person wrote. Words are so powerful and to have Jason draw strength from them was a true gift.

Your support will go towards things Jason wanted for the kids, and Katie can plan things the way he would have liked.

A huge heart-felt thank you from the Watson family. Forever grateful.

  • A message from Katie Watson - 23/01/25

      24 January 2025

It is with the deepest sadness that our Jason Watson has passed away peacefully in my arms! Jason didn't give up through all the horrific years he has had to endure! He continued to fight for his family, and I could not be prouder of him! Rest in peace my darling! I am forever grateful for the man you were to our 3 kids and myself!

  • UPDATE 22/01/25 - A change in health for Jason

      23 January 2025

Katie has let me know that the medical team have stopped life-saving measures and Jason is courageously facing his final hours/day in hospital. Any funds will go towards a few things Jason wanted to do for the kids and his funeral.

Katie and the family also want to send a huge thank you and their appreciation for all the support and lovely comments which have been good for the soul.

This page started out differently, with all the hope in the world that we could enable Katie and the kids to have some incredible memories with Jason over the next few weeks/months. This amazing family are now dealing with a sudden change in health that means precious moments are just that - so precious.
