Jason’s Final Journey to Te Kao
Jason was tragically taken whilst protecting others.
Whangarei, Northland
On the 19th June 2023 Jason was tragically taken from us.
Jason is the beloved son of Kevin and Teresa McNae, brother of Berlinda, whangai of Mike Kaipo and Taringa Paewhenua and William and Joanna Kaipo and all their whanau.
Jason was also the most doting and loving dad to his 2 babies Ngahuia and Hamiora, they were his world.
As a whanau we have a long journey ahead over the next few days as we return Jason home to Te Kao, plans are still being finalised and we will let you know details in due course.

Use of funds
Any funds raised will be used directly to cover any tangi costs, if there is any left over it will go directly to his children.
ACC will provide some financial support to the family.

As a whanau we would really just like to thank everyone for their support over this very difficult time. Jason made lots of connections over his lifetime and it has been heartwarming to hear everyone’s stories about their connection with him. Once again thank you for all the koha given - it will make a difference💕
Jason has made his journey back to Te Kao where he was laid to rest beside 2 of his uncles.
