Help Jay Monds' (Bulletproof) family with his farewell.
Bay of Plenty
On September 29 Jay Monds (also known as Jay Bulletproof, Jay Cyanide, and DJ Potts) died following a massive brain bleed, leaving a teenaged son, a wonderful partner and a loving family faced with an unexpected and massive loss.
We are hoping to raise funds to enable Jay’s immediate family to grieve and begin healing, without the additional stress of financial burden.
Publicly Jay left an incredible legacy as an absolute legend. A pioneer in the local drum and bass scene, a passionate advocate for up-and-comers and a brilliant documentarian of the history of the scene he loved so much with his History of New Zealand Drum and Bass podcast.
Jay inspired and befriended countless musicians and fans.
For those lucky enough to know him personally, Jay has left a legacy of being a fiercely loyal and loving father, partner, son, brother and friend. His bear hugs, infectious grin and incredible love for those in his circle will never be forgotten.
If family or friend ever needed Jay, he would be there.
We are hoping to raise funds to help ease the added financial cost Jay’s family are suddenly faced with. We want to give them room to learn to navigate the next few months, with the massive hole that losing Jay has left.
Close friend of the family. Casey is Jay's sister.
Funds raised will go towards funeral and travel costs associated with farewelling Jay, as well as allowing his son Zion and girlfriend Sophie space to begin to heal without financial burden.
