Jays Updated Cancer Journey!

$6,160 donated
Given by 136 generous donors in 11 weeks

Stage 4 colorectal cancer may have changed Jays future, but it hasnt changed what she is fighting for - time with her 3 children.

Northland

Almost 2 years have passed since Jay was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal BRAF V600E cancer, with BRAF being the most aggressive form of colorectal cancer. Since Jays first givealittle page, so much has changed. Jay is now raising her 3 children as a solo mum, while still continuing to face the daily reality of living with incurable cancer.

Jay is currently taking a break from chemotherapy to give her body time to recover before she will need to resume the treatment at a later date. During this time, she was forced into making a difficult decision after a funding cut off: continue chemotherapy or begin targeted therapy. While Jay has been granted a compassionate supply of Cetuximab by the drug manufacturer valued at $203,000, the treatment can only be given along side Encorafenib, which required a one off cost of $46,000 in Feb 26. Because Pharmac does not fund Cetuximab for Jays treatment, it must be administered privately at a cost of $2000 per fortnight. Without funding for both medications and the administration, this potentially life extending treatment remains out of reach.

We are asking for your support once again to help ease the financial burden for Jay and her family. Every donation, big or small, will allow her to focus on her health. Thankyou to everyone who has supported Jay throughout this journey, your generosity and kindness continue to mean the world to her and her family.

💔 Jay’s Latest Scan Results – The Fight Is Far From Over  13 October 2026

Sadly, Jay’s latest scans have shown further progression of her stage 4 terminal colorectal cancer, with growth in multiple areas.

Diagnosed in August 2024, Jay is now facing a more aggressive treatment plan, with chemotherapy every fortnight alongside targeted therapy that is not publicly funded.

As a mum of three, Jay’s greatest wish is to have as much time as possible with her children. ❤️ With treatment costing over $2,000 every fortnight, the financial burden is enormous.

We are holding onto hope and fighting for more time, more memories, and more moments with the people Jay loves most.

Every donation through Givealittle helps Jay continue her fight. ❤️
