My name is Jed Eden (JEDi) I have recently qualified for the World Ironman Championships to be held in Kona Hawaii October 2016.
I am an Ironman triathlete looking to take on the ironman world championship later this year and am looking for support to help me get there.
My triathlon journey began about 6 years ago with my first Ironman being completed in 2011. Through hard work, steady training, and lifestyle changes I have steadily improved and recently finished Ironman New Zealand 3rd in my age group while taking over 30 minutes off my previous best time. This achievement qualified me for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii which I will compete in later this year.
The hard training has now commenced for this event and I will be giving it my all come October.
A typical day for me starts with a 5.20am wake up then straight into my morning training session. I am usually at my desk for work by 7am. At lunch time i fit in my second training session of the day. 5.00pm finish work and head home to see my wife and 2 daughters. Once the girls are in bed i spend some time with my wife and get ready for the next day. Sleep and repeat. I love every day.
My trip and breakdown of costs
Flights - $2000
Accommodation - $2000
Race Fees - $1300
Food - $1200
Running Total - $6500
Any support would be greatly appreciated. With your support I will give it my absolute best and I will be in the best possible shape to represent New Zealand against the best Ironman athletes in the world.
