Im Jess (Im the black and white one 😁) and I have torn ligaments in my back legs and need cranial cruciate ligament surgery.
Bay of Plenty
Hi, My names Jess and i have sore knees 😞
My mum and dad cant afford to pay the $7,000 to get them fixed but I know they are trying to find a way and that they love me alot ❤ This is why we are trying a give a little page... maybe if we get a little help from alot of people, we will have enough for the surgery. Every $1 will help 😊
So this is my story......
I used to live with my dad who got me as a pup and loved me up untill december 2017 when he unexpectedly passed away. Lucky for me I had a great home to go to, as when i lost my dad it meant my brother (my new dad) and sister lost their dad too......
My new dad and his partner (her names Jess too haha 😁) took me home and I had a instant best friend, Austyn (mum and dads other dog). We have been running, playing, sleeping and snuggling everyday for the past year.
I have had ups and downs with sore legs for the last few years and this has come to a point where I cant play, or go for walks and swims anymore without intense pain.
Swimming and trips to the beach are my favourite so this is very hard for me.
I have been starting to fall over while walking and mum and dad are trying their best to help me. I have tablets to help ease the pain a bit and they even carry me when i need them to (even though im not little... im 30kg 😁)
So why do I need surgery you ask?
After a few years of ups and downs I have torn the ligaments on my back legs, so I need to have cranial cruciate ligament surgery to repair the damage.
This surgery costs anywhere from $2,500 to $3,500 per leg! And then theres xrays and other tests ontop of that too 😶
So that is my story, thank you for taking the time to read it.
Love Jess (the dog, not my mum 😁)
