Life swept away in Cyclone Gabrielle

Eskdale, Hawke's Bay

In the early hours of February 14th my close friend Jordan, his flat mate and her young Daughter had their world flipped upside down by Cyclone Gabrielle.

At 12:30am they evacuated their home to the school on the hill in Eskdale JUST before the water levels had risen… had to wait it out for 4-5 hours until being taken to one of the evacuation centres.

The unknown hits the following day when they return to their home full of silt and debris with all their precious memories and hard work destroyed.

Jordan is also dealing with the cleanup of his business, Berry Tasty in Bayview….. So between now being homeless and trying to get his business back up on its feet, some help in-between would be hugely appreciated by all.

Note; Jords has no insurance so every cent is a major help - thank you!!!!
