I have had a reply this morning from the Everything Karratha Facebook page which reaches about 20,000 people and they have said that they will share your funding page. I have also shared on a public page in town with an audience of 23,000 people and I have contacted the local aboriginal media group and asked that they put this out via their channels also- The manager of this organisation is a wonderful Maori woman and she was deeply touched and will put the funding page out to her contacts also. I hope that this helps. I was devastated when I heard that Juan was the man who was killed- I know there will be a lot of people locally who feel deeply upset by this news.

Thank you

Hi Cynthia, I am so sorry to hear about your brother’s passing. I knew Juan as I work in Roebourne- I had so much time for him, he was awesome- very true to himself and unapologetically unique... and what you are going through must be harrowing. I hope you don’t mind however I have asked if some local Facebook groups could please share your little Givealittle page. There seems to be a typo in your spiel- while the page is looking for $6300 down the post it says $6S000... I have already had a message asking if this is a mistake or if you are actually meeting $65,000. I am coming to the South Island in March and if there is anything I can do please let me know. In the mean time I’m sending you lots of love and I’ll make a donation. My email is bekcolston@westnet.com.au.

Much love, Bek

cynthia

Hi Beks, Thank you for pointing out the typo i've since corrected it. But more importantly thank you for leaving a message, its has truly been a humbling experience reading everyone's messages. Grief can be such a isolating experience especially in the dark of night ,that connection of knowing that other people cared for him as well is beyond what words can express but it really does help and knowing that Juan would be amazed brings a smile to my face at a time when i don't feel like smiling, so thank you very much it does make a difference. cyndi
