  • High Court Challenge not successful - Costs awarded

    The High Court has turned down Social Credit’s four grounds of challenge to the Overseas Investment Office decision on a technical argument over the definition of farm land. The Court decided on the narrow rather than wider view which we advanced and awarded $53,000 costs to the Crown, Westland Milk Products and Hong Kong Jingang.

    We are considering an appeal but need your financial support to accompany that.

  • Covid Update

      3 August 2020

    Due to the lockdown and courts being closed for an extended period the date for the hearing of the High Court case is not now until mid September. Our fundraising will now move into a higher gear.

  • High Court Timeframe Extended

      15 February 2020

    Lawyers for Westland Milk and Hong Kong Jingang applied to the High Court for an order requiring us to deposit $40,000 in a lawyer's trust account as security in case costs were awarded in their favour.

    This has delayed the hearing of the judicial review and substantially increased our costs.

    But were not being put off. Any support you can give us would be really appreciated.
