Covering Julian's July funeral costs in the Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. Any extra funds will be used on collating his musical compositions.
Hawke's Bay
Julian passed over on Wednesday the 30th June 2021 after an illness which he managed to keep at bay for a long time. He is a beloved friend and community musician for many people in NZ and overseas, especially in England and the north of Norway.
The community of friends want to support Astrid by raising funds to cover the funeral costs of about NZ$5000, including the funeral director's invoice and the Christian Community in Hawkes Bay which we would like to give a significant donation to. Anything you can put in as a token of gratitude for Julian's life is greatly appreciated
I am one of Julian's oldest friends from the 1970s at Emerson College, Sussex. Later we found ourselves living in the same part of NZ much to our delight. I will make sure the money is spent on the overall funeral costs or musical estate.
Specifically for funeral costs run by a professional funeral director.
We do not expect any surplus as we are raising a specific amount fitted to the funeral director's quote.
Update for Anniversary 28 June 2022
Dear friends,
At this very moment, two days before Julian’s first anniversary in the spiritual world, where our thoughts and our love go out to a special friend, teacher and human being, it seems hardly a good time to have the page suddenly shut down...
Goodwill is flowing from our hearts, and some friends would still have the opportunity to donate... so we are extending the page once again...
Thank you from all our hearts for all the tokens of friendship, big and small that have come our way.
Next it will be my task, with Julian’s help... to try and collate and publish his musical works... as well as his wonderful translations and poetry – lovely gems we all may be blessed with...
Warm greetings, also from Julian (very much present now...!), Astrid.
