get Justin to the U19 world rowing champs in paris
Hamilton, Waikato
Justin started his rowing after a rocky start in 2019 under Hamilton Rowing Club with a bunch of men as part of his novice season in an 8 and a coxed 4. Early signs of determination for success with these crews gaining a silver and 2 bronze in 2020 among many A finals for the season.
2021 saw Justin develop rowing and his passion and determination for success even further branching out into the single and gaining 3 silvers for the season.
2022 gave him the opportunity of rowing NZ U18 north vs south competition which was a great week and experience. Justin also got a Bronze in 2022
Covid times took a few good chunks out of rowing, but where and when he could Justin still trained and continued to thrive.
2023 his final school year found him again competitive in the single and a few quad and double crews also. The season gave him 2 bronze medals and a spot at the U19 rowing NZ trials to compete in Paris at the world rowing champs in August.
Justin has been successful and selected as part of the quad crew that will compete in Paris 2 to 6 august 2023.
A huge success that also comes with a cost. We need to do a lot of fundraising in a few short months, and are working hard to do so.
