One of Kate's final wishes was that a foundation fund be set up to support talented people in the sporting and Arts arena.

Otago

As many of you know Kate sadly passed away last week after a courageous battle with cancer. Kate inspired so many people and this did not change with her valiant battle over the last 12 months.

One of Kate's final wishes was that a foundation was set up support talented people in the sporting and Arts arena so to honour her wishes the Kate Moetaua Foundation has been set up.

Kate dedicated her life to teaching and influenced the lives of so many young people, opening their eyes to the world of performance helping them to gain confidence on and off the stage. Sadly Kate passed away from cancer at the young age of 45 leaving her husband Teaukura (T) and her three young girls Anika, Aya and Malia. The Kate Moetaua Foundation will provide a wonderful opportunity for her children to carry on the work that their Mum started through distributing money from to foundation to talented and aspiring young sports people and artists to help them achieve their dreams and fulfil their potential in these disciplines.
