Papakōwhai School is holding our 2026 Readathon for the month of September.
We are aiming to raise 10% towards the cost of the amazing teaching assistants and librarians we have at our school.
The cost of providing this level of support is close to $400,000 per annum. About half of this is directly funded by the MOE and the remainder is funded through donations and local fundraising. We need your support to continue to fund the current provision of teaching assistant support!
The major prize: The winner will choose from:
2 tickets on a zoo encounter experience
* A Elite Pro Scooter
*A smartwatch to the value of $300
Class prizes:
*$150 paper plus voucher (to be spent on items chosen by the class)
*Pizza lunch
Group Prizes:
*Pizza lunch (top readers from each class)
Premium movie experience (best fundraisers)

We are a full Primary School of around 500 students in the Suburb of Papakowhai, in Porirua City
