We are raising funds to support the Keals Family who tragically lost everything in a house fire on Tuesday 29th January 2019.
Kawakawa Bay local couple Tony Keals and Lorraine Blackwell lost everything yesterday when a raging fire gutted their Kawakawa Bay home.
Even though the local volunteer fire-fighters arrived at the scene soon after the 111 call was made, the fire was aggressive and engulfed the family home quickly, fortunately no one was home when the fire broke out.
Tony and Lorraine arrived while fire fighters got the blaze under control and watched helplessly as everything they had built up over the years burned to the ground…and then having the overwhelming sense of worries and sadness that came afterwards.
To make matters worse, the family home and contents were not insured and are now relying on the kindness of family and friends to help them through these difficult times. They have 3 young children Sam, Tara and Lucy.
The family understand the suffering house fires can cause, as Tony, a ‘Life Member’ of the Kawakawa Bay Volunteer Fire Brigade, has spent 30 years of his life making himself available 24/7 to help others in need. Lorraine also offers invaluable care, support and teaching at Arobridge-Equine First and also volunteers at numerous community events whenever she is needed.
Now it is our turn to help Tony, Lorraine and family.
We ask you for any donation that you can comfortably afford. Thank you in advance for your kindness.
Tony is a 30 year member of the Kawakawa Bay Volunteer Fire Brigade and member.
To help rebuild their lives and help replace the everyday necessities that we all take for granted.
Thank You 4 February 2019
Thank you, each and every one of you, for everything that you have done for us - far, far beyond what we ever expected or dared to hope.
Words are truly not enough to express our gratitude. But all we know is that we feel that our hearts are broken, but they are being held together by the immense amount of love, kindness, and support given by family, friends, the communities near and far.
It is only through your kind words and generosity that we can now start looking ahead to rebuilding our lives ... this is the biggest gift of all ... you have given us hope. Thank you.
