My name is Anna, and I'm the founder of Keep Hamilton Beautiful.
Having spent 7 years working at sea, and 10 years around the world, I saw such a global waste problem and was running clean ups at marinas and beaches, and yet was convinced that New Zealand was full of Tidy Kiwis who were keeping the planet clean and green.
When I got back to NZ, and Hamilton I realised what a huge waste problem we have here, and although people wanted to do something, they weren't sure how.
So I started with the group as a support community towards taking positive environmental actions and making people aware of sustainable options.
I wanted to create a place where people are able to help out in what ever way they can.
I know sometimes it can be hard to figure this all out. So my plan is to create a movement, and help people to get involved at every level.
Use of funds
Funds will be used for paying for rubbish disposal, buying litter picking items, marketing, website etc.
