Kākano Youth Arts Collective has been a creative home for West Auckland’s most vulnerable rangatahi. Our studio is a safe creative space.

Empowering West Auckland rangatahi through art, we need your support to keep our studio running!
Kākano Youth Arts Collective supports West Auckland young people through weekly studio sessions, workshops, and exhibition opportunities. Your donation will directly pay for: studio rent, art materials, tutor fees and everything that keeps this creative community running.
Right now, we need your support. In this difficult financial climate, alongside other Not for Profit organisations, funding cuts are making it difficult for us to continue our vital mahi.
Each week, 18 young artists come to Kākano to paint, print, carve, and create. Here, they gain not just artistic skills but also self-worth, resilience, and a future. Our annual exhibitions, mural projects and studio sessions showcase their incredible work, with proceeds going directly back to them.
We need community support to keep running Kākano's studio. For more than a decade, we have provided some of our most vulnerable rangatahi with guidance in their creative practice, mentoring and safe space. We have given a lot to our community in terms of our murals and external projects, and now we are asking for a little help so we can continue to thrive.

A little goes a long way.
Ngā mihi nui,
Kākano Youth Arts Collective is a vibrant West Auckland initiative empowering at-risk youth through art. For over 10 years, we’ve provided a safe, creative space for rangatahi aged 12–20 to grow their confidence, discover their talents, and share their voices.
We know the value of what we do. We’ve seen lives transformed. But we can’t do it alone. 💛 This is where you come in. 💛 Every dollar you give goes directly towards keeping our studio running, our tutors supported, and our rangatahi thriving.
