Keepers of the Afi - Post Production

Keepers of the Afi is a self funded short film that explores the practice of Siva Afi (Samoan fire knife dancing.) Ben Mikha (Director & Cinematographer) has been crafting this piece for the last 5 years getting to know the community and travelling the world to meet the torch bearers & knowledge keepers that have enabled the practice to be carried forward. Now in it's final stages of post production we are turning to our community to humbly ask for your support as we cross the finish line of post-production.

This crowd funding campaign will allow us to cover the costs of the following;

- Music Composition

- Sound Design

- Grade

- Mastering

If we are blessed in surpassing our goal, additional funds raised will help us to cover costs of film festival travel costs as well as community screening costs.

From Samoa to the pacific diaspora, Keepers of the Afi explores how a culture evolves without loosing the essence of where it came from.

It has been a pleasure to shoot and support Ben in making this film. The film is a beautiful celebration of Samoan culture and will be story that resonates deeply across the diaspora.
