We need to purchase the land, rebuild, and keep our Kindy for another 100 years!
Nationwide
In 2014 the St Clair Community Kindy celebrated its centenary. The landowners are selling and we wish to purchase. We are currently in a conditional phase with the landowners and now need to secure funds to confirm the purchase of the land. We have some funds of our own, however we are a not-for-profit charitable organisation and need to raise the remainder. We are one of only 2 independent Kindy's left in Dunedin.
PLEASE HELP THE KINDY CONTINUE TO EDUCATE THE KIDS IN OUR COMMUNITY FOR A FURTHER 100 YEARS
In the near future we will be aiming to rebuild the Kindy so that we can continue for another 100 years.
We are aiming to raise $400,000 for the entire project. This is additional to funds that the Kindy is able to contribute. A portion is for the land purchase, a portion for the costs associated with this, and the most substantial part is for the rebuild/renovation project. This money will be raised through donations, fundraising and grants.
We have set a goal of $75,000 in pledges by October 8th. If this is achieved, then we may be able to confirm the land purchase.
Please read the details regarding pledging on this website. We are currently asking for pledges rather than donations to see if we can reach our goal.
Please contact the Kindy if you would like any further information, would like to assist with this project, or would like to enroll your child!
We have developed our own philosophy of teaching and learning which embraces the Reggio Emilia approach as a way to complement our programme and our use of Te Whariki the NZ Early Childhood Curriculum.
Our parent committee works closely with our teaching team to ensure your child receives the best possible early childhood education and learning opportunities.
