New community bike track, Almost half the funds already raised but we need your help!
Wellington
Kelson's own bike track!
Kelson school has secured $14,375 (incl GST) towards a bike track around the field thanks to the support of Hutt City Council!
This amazing project will be great for the children of Kelson School as well as the wider community of Kelson and we would like to invite you to support this through a donation.
The school grounds are open at all hours and are treated as public grounds. This bike track is not just for the kids of the school but the entire Kelson community.
The actual cost of the project is approximately $30,000 so we need to raise around $15,000 from donations and grant requests.
Make a donation towards this great project for our community.
On behalf of the team here at Kelson School, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all visitors to our website. We trust that you find it to be a useful source of information about our wonderful school.
I am extremely proud and excited to be leading a team of talented teachers and support staff in a supportive learning community. I have been teaching and working in primary schools for the past twenty two years prior to becoming a Principal, so I understand the amazing work teachers do every day.
We are committed to providing high quality education where children are encouraged and challenged to reach their full potential. We endeavour to provide a rich and varied programme, which aims to have children become happy, enthusiastic learners who take an active role in their learning. We are a school committed to continual improvement and excellence.
I believe that quality teaching and building positive relationships between students, staff and parents are the most important factors to ensure our children are reaching their potential. Our Staff, The Board of Trustees and Parents work closely to provide a safe, supportive, stimulating learning environment for the children.
We welcome and encourage parent/caregiver participation in all areas of school life. Research shows that when parents and caregivers take an active and supportive interest in the school, children develop positive attitudes to learning and achieve accordingly.
If you are an intending parent or visitor to the school community, you are welcome to contact me at the school if you have any queries or would like to view the school in action.
Kindest regards,
Judy Pemberton ~ principal@kelson.school.nz
